Today's job market supplies fewer entry-level positions than ever before. This makes your education more important than ever. It is never too late to come back to school. The goal of the Adult Education Department at Athens Technical College is to help adults of all ages acquire skills that will make them more successful in the workplace, the college environment, and in all parts of society. Our Adult Education program offers classes in ten counties, providing instruction for the non-reader all the way up to those preparing for the 2014 GED® test. This is an exciting program that Athens Technical College offers to the community in order to give adults a steppingstone to a brighter future. The classes are free for those who did not obtain a high school diploma and want to continue their education. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are also provided at some sites.
