Next Steps for Newly Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Athens Technical College! Students will receive their acceptance letter through either their application portal, or through the mail, depending on the application type submitted. In the meantime, you can get started by following the steps below to complete the enrollment process at Athens Technical College:

  1. Get your student ID number
Your student ID is the number associated with your digital identity at Athens Technical College, and is located on your official acceptance letter. The last three digits of your student id is also a part of your student email address

CLICK HERE to find your ATC Student ID Number

  2. Set up your ATC Single Sign On Account
Athens Technical College’s Single Sign On (SSO) integrates the login for all Banner, Blackboard, email and intranet applications. This means that you will only need one set of credentials (username and password) to access all of your on campus resources. Follow the link below to begin the process of setting up your Single Sign On credentials.

  3. Complete your New Student Orientation and E-Learning Orientation
Before meeting with your advisor, all new students should complete the New Student and E Learning Orientations. These online orientation sessions provide you with important information about the college, college policies, and online learning resources. You can access these orientations at the links below:

  4. Meet with your academic advisor
Whether you meet with your advisor in person, by phone, or using student email, all students are expected to meet with their advisor to set up an academic plan. After your initial plan is set up, you may be able to use the college’s Degree Works system to keep track of your progress as you work towards achieving your academic goals!

If you are not sure who your advisor is, you can use the link below to find their contact information.

  5. Register for your classes
Information about how to register using the BANNER Student Information System is in the New Student Orientation above, but a quick reference guide is available here:
